Fibroid Removal Surgery in Chembur, Mumbai
Uterine fibroids are benign growths in the womb or uterus of women. These are also known as myomas or leiomyomas.
Seedling-sized fibroids become bulky masses as they grow in size. Females may have a single fibroid or multiple fibroids. Occasionally, multiple fibroids may expand a woman's uterus to the point where it reaches her rib cage.
Symptoms
Uterine fibroids are commonly associated with the following symptoms in women who have them:
A heavy menstrual flow
An extended period of menstruation
A feeling of pressure or pain in the pelvis
Urination is frequent
Having trouble emptying the bladder
Having constipation
Pain in the back or legs
Endometriosis
In endometriosis, uterine tissue builds up in different parts of the body, resulting in endometrial implants. During this process, it prepares the uterine lining for ovulation by growing in areas outside the uterus.
The following may be affected:
Ovaries
Lymph Nodes
Fallopian Tubes
Peritoneum
While these tissues usually expel during menstruation, the displaced tissues are unable to do so. In addition to causing physical symptoms, such as pain, growing lesions can affect bodily functions, such as working ability.
Ovarian cysts
A female reproductive system is incomplete without the ovaries. Each of these can be found on either side of the uterus in the lower abdomen.
There are several symptoms associated with an ovarian cyst, including:
Pain in the pelvis:
The lower back or thighs may feel achy or persistent. During menstruation, the pain begins or ends.
Irregular and painful menstruation:
A lighter or heavier flow could be there.
Dyspareunia:
During sexual activity, pelvic pain occurs.
Bowel issues:
There may be pain while passing stool, frequent urgency to pass stool, or pressure on the bowels when passing stool.
